My husband bought me a necklace and earrings set for Christmas so I put the earrings in and I pretty much forgot about them for months and left them in 24/7. I thought they were sterling silver but on a closer inspection, they are cheap. Now the holes in my ears have black stuff in them. I know it will go away after a few days but it’s gross and makes me wonder why those earrings did that to my ears.
its either a.) an allergic reaction or b.) cheap metal in the earring. Don’t wear that earring for a couple of days and it should go away. if you wanna put in back in then go ahead but you’ll just have the same problem a couple days later. Some thing about a chemical reaction with the metal and the stuff in your ear (blood, pus, cartilage, etc.) that makes it turn black or green.
